When a smooth-talking Ghanaian-American man arrives in Lagos with a scheme called Richvest and promises of 100% returns, a whole community lines up. Inspired by Nigeria's catastrophic 2016 MMM Ponzi collapse, Ponzi is a sharp, funny, and uncomfortably relatable satire about financial desperation, collective wishful thinking, and the persuasive power of a confident man with a foreign accent. It speaks directly to the audience because it knows they have been there too.
